Cambodian Food

See why it’s the next big thing.

Bai sach chrouk

Quite simply – Rice and Pork. Yeah right! One of the tastiest ‘breakfast’ dishes ever and one that Kun has been eating since he was old enough to utter his first words

Kuy Teav

This is Tram’s absolute favourite. Similar to Vietnamese Pho, in fact this dish is enjoyed in Vietnam under the name  of “Hu Tieu Nom Vang” (Phnom Penh Noodle Soup). Simply outstanding.

Amok trei

Fish, coconut milk, spices, banana leaves – this is the most well known and if you know where to find it, one of the tastiest dishes in South East Asia. The jewel in the crown… absolutely!

Sach ko ang

The French brought many things to the former colonial territories known as French-Indochina and the one thing all would agree has had an enduring and tasty legacy is their baguettes. And where the Vietnamese have their bánh mì, in Cambodia it is sach ko ang. Sweet, sour, salty, savoury – one bite and you will be hooked for life!

Num Kachay

If you have a craving for dim sum whilst travelling through Cambodia then this is the cure. Be warned though – your next outing to dim sum will never be the same again

Mee Char

Anyone who tells you that this is just another typical noodle stir fry is either: A) misinformed or B) eating it at entirely the wrong place.
